WNY kids hone their cooking skills with “Y on the Fly” in Buffalo

YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s “Y on the Fly” program partnered with FeedMore WNY for “Kids in the Kitchen”, a hands-on education program with children in Buffalo.

The education program will took place at the Resource Council of WNY, located at 347 East Ferry Street in Buffalo.. Children learned about a food group, then create a delicious snack. Thanks to FeedMore WNY, the children received ingredients to recreate the recipe at home.   

The YMCA provided a free lunch to members of the community who attend the event.

Y on the Fly is a mobile YMCA that visits neighborhoods and offers free programs aimed to help youth of all ages stay active and engaged in mind, body, and spirit. Y on the Fly provides healthy meals to children and families, educational enrichment, physical activities, games, and more.
