YMCA Buffalo Niagara Distributes Food for Buffalo residents as part of Holiday Giveaway
YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s “Y on the Fly” program will be distributed fresh produce for families of program participants as part of our Holiday Giveaway this weekend in the City of Buffalo.
The Holiday Giveaway took place on the second floor gymnasium at the Resource Council of WNY, located at 347 East Ferry Street in Buffalo.
YMCA Buffalo Niagara gave away 10 bags of fresh produce for families. The bags included ingredients needed to make homemade vegetable soup. Additionally, kids participating in the giveaway created craft ornaments and take part in the holiday relay race.
Y on the Fly is a mobile YMCA that visits neighborhoods and offers free programs aimed to help youth of all ages stay active and engaged in mind, body, and spirit. Y on the Fly provides healthy meals to children and families, educational enrichment, physical activities, games, and more.
